Samantha graduated from Miami University in Ohio in 2016 with a degree in Chemistry and then went on to work in Chicago at a chemical manufacturing company for 2 years. She started at Marquette University in August 2018 and enjoys traveling and being in the sunshine while not in lab.

Dr. Hathaithep (Grape) Senkum

hathaithep.senkum@marquette.edu

Grape is from Thailand. She graduated with a PhD in Chemistry at the University of Maine, where she performed polymer-based research. She had worked with renewable and nanomaterials for biomedical and 3D printing applications. After that, she was an industrial postdoc at MilliporeSigma (Milwaukee site), working with process development for catalysts and organic compounds. The work ignited her interest in exploring wider research in the organic synthesis realm. She recently joined the Clark Lab to expand her skills and expertise in medicinal chemistry and natural products.

Moataz Hendi

Born and raised in Egypt. Moataz graduated in 2011 from Ain Shams University, Cairo with a Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences degree. In 2019 he gained his Master's degree in pharmaceutical chemistry. He worked as a community and hospital pharmacist, and then as an assistant researcher at the Centre for Drug Research and Development, the British University in Egypt. He likes movies, soccer, and reading while having a coffee.

Dr. Shashank Sancheti

Shashank set off on his academic journey into the mystic world of Chemistry (BSMS. 2017) at the University of Pune, India. Seeking to deepen his knowledge and skills in organic chemistry, he then moved to the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal, India, where he successfully earned his PhD in Organic Chemistry in 2023. Presently, as a Post Doc, Shashank is a wizard in the laboratory at Marquette University, developing magical organic transformations that precisely infuse hydrogen and its isotopes into organic molecules. Beyond the realm of chemistry and research, Shashank reveals his culinary prowess as a dedicated foodie, often found mastering the art of cooking in his kitchen kingdom!
